LIFESTARs new Dedicated Dispatch Center is located at Northwest Texas Healthcare System.  LIFESTAR Dispatch Center covers 29 counties and approximately 33,000 square miles.  LIFESTAR Dispatch Specialists are able to monitor and communicate on all Panhandle EMS/Med frequencies, flight follow all aircraft via real time satellite tracking via SkyTrac, monitor and interpret aviation weather data.

  

The staff is comprised of EMT/Paramedics. All calls are dispatched through 2 CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) consoles, with one Tech handling the radios, and one taking phone calls.  NWTH maintains 18 repeaters scattered around the Texas Panhandle which are used by the regional EMS Services.

 

LIFESTAR Dispatch Center is an integral part of the Panhandle Region.
